Crystal Palace have been handed a triple fitness boost ahead of their visit to face Manchester United this weekend with the sight of Wilfried Zaha, James Tomkins and Aaron Wan-Bissaka taking part in full first-team training.

Zaha missed out on the Eagles’ last Premier League clash at home to Tottenham and has been seen as a doubt for the trip to Old Trafford as a result but thankfully, the two-week international break seems to have given the 26-year-old the rest he needed to return to the fold.
In Tomkins’ case, it was a knock he took part-way through the game against Pochettino’s Spurs side which put his involvement this Saturday in doubt but it seems he too has benefited hugely from the prolonged gap in competitive football. With Mamadou Sakho known to be struggling with back pain following his recent appearance for France, the former West Ham man’s availability for our trip to the North West will be seen by every supporter as a huge plus.
Last but certainly not least is Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who was forced to pull out of England U21 duty after hurting his shoulder in our narrow loss to Spurs, prompting concerns about the long-term damage he could do to it, should he leave SE25 for a pair of games with Aidy Boothroyd’s young Lions. Thankfully, there appears to have been no long-term problem caused by the knock he took, meaning he’ll be taking part against Jose Mourinho’s Reds.
Given the disparity of strength in depth the two squads possess, many will rightly view Manchester United as big favourites tomorrow but the involvement of the aforementioned trio does at least give us a fighting chance of causing an upset.
