Manchester United Given Yet Another Big Injury Blow Ahead Of Palace

Yesterday, we covered news of a mini injury crisis taking hold at Manchester United ahead of their game against Crystal Palace this weekend and now, we have another name to add to the list of potential absentees in the shape of Marouane Fellaini.

Most recently, the big Belgian has been in the news for having shaved off his trademark afro and now, questions are being raised as to whether or not his power has been sapped by its disappearance after his international boss Roberto Martinez disclosed that the towering midfielder wasn’t in the right condition to take part in either of his country’s games against Iceland or Switzerland.

As we already know, the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial, Victor Lindelof and Marcus Rashford are all major doubts for the Eagles’ visit to Old Trafford on Saturday, whilst full-back Luke Shaw will also miss out after picking up a fifth yellow card of the season against Manchester City immediately before the international break. Of course, the Reds strength in depth should still be enough to see them through on the day but with Hodgson’s boys absolutely desperate for points, I can’t pretend to not be just a tad relieved by the thought of facing an understrength United side straight off the back of an international lull.

There remain doubts in the Palace camp over the fitness of James Tomkins, Wilfried Zaha and Aaron Wan-Bissaka whilst the likes Connor Wickham, Scott Dann and Christian Benteke remain sidelined for the trip to the North West with long-term problems.

Thankfully, this relentless run of rough fixtures comes to an end once this weekend is over and done with; let’s just hope we can finish it with a bang by securing our first ever Premier League over the men from the Theatre of Dreams.
