Does Arsenal Man’s Instagram Message Mean He’s Leaving The Emirates?

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has been consistently linked with a move to Crystal Palace since the 2017/18 Premier League season drew to a close and thanks to a rather cryptic Instagram post from the man himself earlier this week, plenty are wondering if a switch is now closer than ever.

Having graduated into the Arsenal first-team a decade ago, the now 26-year-old finds himself at something of a career crossroads following the departure of long-term Gunners’ boss Arsene Wenger. The Frenchman was always known to a fan of Wilshere, having thrown him into the senior side at just 16 and kept faith with him ever since but given the arrival of new man Unai Emery, Wilshere may well be looking to wipe the slate clean and start afresh elsewhere.

Following his omission from Gareth Southgate’s 23-man England squad, Jack publicly expressed his disappointment, clearly feeling that he was worthy of a place after playing 38 times for Arsenal throughout the 17/18 campaign. To Southgate’s credit, he is attempting to build a young, exuberant side and seemingly felt as though Wilshere didn’t fit the bill but for a man who is still in his mid-20s, it was always going to be a kick in the teeth.

Having worked well with Roy Hodgson at England level in the past, there certainly seems to be a chance of the Arsenal man plumping for a move to SE25, not least because it would enable him to remain in London and commute; an often overlooked factor in the decision-making process that is undertaken by players on the verge of leaving their long-time employers.

Palace are known to have been in negotiations with Wilshere for some time already, making his recent Instagram message seem like far more than a coincidence. An exit from The Emirates was always on the cards for him this summer, now it’s just a case of the man himself revealing where he’s decided to go.

Biggest mistake England have made is missing out on Wilfred zaha.
Gareth Southgate a very good player has got the job with England because he comes over well in the media yet really to prove anything .let’s just hope palace can hold on to their best players. Money talks but better to be a good place & it looks selhust has great team spirit about the place .

Wilshere on a free would be a great signing, just the sort of player we need at the right price. Reckon the challenge would suit him too.
