VIDEO: This Montage Of Palace’s 2017/18 Season Is Spine-Tinglingly Good

Even by Crystal Palace’s ridiculous standards, the 2017/18 season has been a white-knuckle ride, making this season review video a must-watch for anyone who has experienced the multitude of highs and lows we’ve all been through since August.

I’m sure I don’t need to remind anyone of the struggles we endured in the opening seven games of the campaign just gone but if your memory does somehow need jogging, the montage attached above does a wonderful job of taking us through the whole nine months, from its dreadful beginnings to the outrageous turnaround that was overseen by Roy Hodgson and his coaching staff from September onwards.

It sometimes feels as though the club are intent on doing things the hard way from year to year, only ever managing to perform to our full potential for half of a season but with Roy’s feet now firmly under the table in SE25, I and I dare say many others are holding out serious hope of a stable and successful 2018/19 campaign from start to finish. Whilst no one is expecting the gaffer to pull off the sort of miracle Sean Dyche has overseen at Turf Moor, a full term without any real threat of falling through the relegation trapdoor would be wonderful, even if it would take away from the drama of next season’s review video.

At Palace, we are lucky to have numerous fans with a flair and passion for creation, whether it be through writing, podcasts or videos like the one above. The man responsible for it, Carl Mortimer, has made plenty of other fantastic content over the years, with this particular effort focussing on Wilfried Zaha being a particular favourite of mine.

It’s been a long and often emotionally draining season for every Palace fan but in truth, none of us would have it any other way.
