“Palace Is His Home” Sakho Urged To Forget Liverpool By Cult Hero

Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has been encouraged to make his switch to Crystal Palace permanent by cult hero Sasa Curcic, who believes the Frenchman can become one of the best defenders in world football if he moves to SE25.

This video interview with Curcic sees him adamantly claim that Sakho is far better off at Palace than Liverpool. Top man.

Having cruised through most of April with Sakho in the starting XI, Sam Allardyce’s side are now feeling the full effect of the knee injury he picked up at home to Tottenham Hotspur, going on a run of three straight defeats without scoring.

It’s fair to say that Mamadou’s larger than life personality and commanding performances at the heart of our back four were a key component in our recent victories over Chelsea and Arsenal, leading every single fan, player and director associated with the football club to openly admit they love him to join us permanently when the summer transfer window opens.

Luckily for us, Sakho and Jurgen Klopp remain at loggerheads, leading most people to assume that he will leave Anfield for good when the current campaign draws to a close. Whilst most Liverpool fans will readily admit that he is technically superior to a number of the defenders still on their books, it’s widely accepted that the personal relationship between Klopp and former PSG man has been damaged beyond repair, leaving just one outcome that suits all parties in the long run.

Having sat in the stands to watch Palace’s comprehensive 3-0 victory over Arsenal a few weeks ago, Curcic has seen first hand what a massive impact Sakho makes on the Palace team, with his comments rightly drawing attention to the adoration the 26-year-old has received from the Palace faithful in his short time on our books.

The big man is sure to have plenty of offers to consider from across Europe over the next few months but you’d like to think he’d give serious consideration to any contract put in front of him by Steve Parish and Sam Allardyce.

Ha ha how deluded can ya get. one of the best defenders in the world?! nonsense and if you think Sakho as ANY intention of fighting relegation with little Crystal Palace under the world class fat Sam and his team of hoofers then ye have lost the plot.. he will be playing for a team with CL football or CL ambitions next season.. most likely Roma or Napoli

Depends, he dropped down from Champions League to Europa with Liverpool, so it shows he will gladly drop to a smaller club if the money/game time is right.

He strikes me as a Ballotelli/Benteke type – other players who Liverpool couldn’t handle – in the sense that they need to be loved/ the main man in defence/attack. Sakho may not get that at a bigger club. Remember how Thiago Silva was the boss of PSG so he left to Lieverpool????

Sakho loves being a big fish in a small pond, that much has become crystal clear to me. Let’s just hope we can survive and go from there.

The cynic in me wonders, remembering the mercurial Sasa’s time here what he understands about defending! However, he is of course dead right about Mamadou. I just pray we can stagger over the line and get the opportunity because I think if we had him we would’n’t be in this position next time May comes round

Too right, Richard. A full season of Sakho with a proper number one behind him would see us well away from trouble.

Tom, who are better centre halfs on current form? I just thought I would ask so we know what yardstick to use when comparing. It certainly won’t be anyone at Liverpool or Man Utd
