This Article Will Ease Any Fears Palace Fans Have Of Imminent Relegation

Given Palace’s current predicament, our supporters can be forgiven for fretting a tad over the Premier League table but according to the research done below, we have very little to worry about.

This link shows each team’s “percentage chance” of going down based on the remaining games. It will ease your fears.

I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that my conversations with neutral football fans over the last few days have generated responses of “You’re not going down!” “Don’t be silly, you’re well safe!” and “Big Sam has sorted you out, don’t worry!” but as every Palace supporter knows, the battle against the drop is not over until it’s mathematically impossible to fall through the trap-door.

Admittedly, on paper things are looking good for us at a glance. We still have a six point gap from Swansea in 18th place with just three games left to play but when you look at the Swans remaining ties, things start to get a little too close for comfort. This Saturday, they welcome an ultra-relaxed Everton side to South Wales before travelling to already relegated Sunderland and finishing the season off at home to a West Brom team with absolutely nothing to play for. Call me a worrier if you wish but on the face of things, I can see Paul Clement’s boys picking up nine points and ratcheting up the pressure on us hugely.

Of course, one more win would eliminate any need for stress in SE25 but with two trips to Manchester still to come, it looks as though the home clash with Hull is going to be our only genuine chance of getting the three points required to secure our place in the division for another year. You’d like to think it would be a mere formality but as last week’s loss to Burnley proved, anything is possible when we’re involved.

The extensive research that has been compiled behind the link at the top of the page should offer you a tremendous amount of comfort about Palace’s survival chances. I just hope it’s proven to be correct in a couple of weeks time.

HLTCO has no adverts, we cannot survive without your help.

The fact they have used a picture of Burnley for our entry suggests to me they have no idea what they are talking about! So no, it doesn’t give me confidence…

Fair point well made, although I would suggest that the data itself is more relevant than the work of a temporary member of staff at TalkSPORT Towers.
