Liverpool Fans Are Fuming With Sakho & We’re Loving Every Second Of It

Chrsitian Benteke may have scored both of Crystal Palace’s goals against Liverpool on Sunday but it was the tracksuited Mamadou Sakho who grabbed more of the post-match headlines from the sidelines.

These tweets from Liverpool fans suggest Sakho’s Anfield days are over. Their fans are absolutely fuming with him.

Many had assumed that Sakho (still technically a Liverpool player) would be a picture of calm in the Crystal Palace dugout throughout Sunday’s clash but after the Frenchman was spotted high-fiving every member of the home side’s bench prior to kick-off it was clear that he had no intention of sitting in silence as the Eagles spoiled the party.

Benteke to his credit, refused to celebrate either of his goals in the immediate aftermath of the ball hitting the back of the net but, the Sky Sports cameras did pick up the Belgian making his way over to the sideline shortly after his equaliser to indulge in what looked to a pre-determined game of “rock, paper, scissors” with his teammate and close friend Sakho.

It’s fair to say that Jamie Carragher (in the commentary booth) and a large proportion of Liverpool’s online fan-base were absolutely fuming with the actions of their towering centre-back, with the backlash directed towards Sakho on Twitter leading many to assume that he’s just signed his own death warrant in the minds of the Merseyside faithful.

In truth, Klopp’s attitude towards the French international over the last year or so has led many to believe that he’d be moved on in the summer regardless but if there had been any doubt in the German’s mind over Sakho’s possible return, yesterday’s antics are likely to have extinguished the chance of it once and for all.

Winning three times on the spin at Anfield is incredibly sweet by itself. Doing so with Sakho stealing the headlines from the side of the pitch is just the icing on the cake.

No team can afford to give away £25-£30m, if you think Liverpool would do that just to make a statement then you truly are a fool. This is football and money is everything.

I’m not sure “swiller” is the sharpest tool in the box, Richard.

Liverpool can firstly. were not some mickey mouse club like Palace. secondly its totally irrelevant as the player has no interest in lowering himself to play for you lot. the fact you are celebrating beating us 3 times like ye have won the league says it all.. we will be in the CL next season with Klopp in charge and you will be fighting the drop again with the disgraced long ball merchant in charge so the defeat will cost us nothing.. he wont be short of options and believe me when i say Liverpool will not sell to Palace, not when there’s 3 or 4 teams willing to pay the 30 million and the player has zero interest in fighting relegation wit you when the likes of Southampton, Napoli and Roma are after him and they all hold a player we are interest in.. so all your laughing is pre mature as yesterdays antics certainly have sealed a move, to the delight of most fans by the way as he is not at our level, but made sure that he wont be at Palace next season either and I for one will laugh my a#se off when that happens considering how much ye want him

You’re as only as good as your last game. You lost. In the past couple of weeks Palace have beat Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. Palace have a financial backing they have never had before. In the past a millionaire would buy the club and want to make money out of it. Since 2010 a syndicate of five millionaires have owned Palace. Since 2015 a forther two billionaires have come in who own NBA and Ice hockey teams. They are injecting cash to expand Selhurst Park to over 40,000 capacity. You don’t think a Liverpool owned player worth 30 million woul want to play for Palace. Who just scored two goals against you. Oh yeah an ex Liverpool player we paid 30 million for. If I was a young man earning 100k a week plus a week where would I want to live London or Liverpool. No contest.

Would you like a light ale with that bitter, Tom?

Firstly, if Benteke is up for playing for Palace, i am sure Sakho will be if the money and bid are right. Secondly, the grammar and syntax of your sentences is atrocious.

Wow, he sounds a little bitter. Must be the fact that they are not the team they were in the 70’s and 80’s and have not won a league title in 27 years. It saddens me that the so called bigger teams supporters just cannot bear to have anything go against them in any shape or form and to say Sakho is not good enough for them is frankly laughable given the recent performances of their centre halves. If Sakho signs for us then great, if he doesn’t then so be it. We’ll still probably win at Anfield next year if they haven’t improved defensively.

tom is typical of a scouse football fan totally biased, thinks his team is a top team when, given ,they have a great history, but that’s it. history. we have a colorful history going up and down the divisions over the last century plus. and yet we, palace, have won 6 games and liverpool only4 over the last ten meetings.because palace have never won a major trophy the fans that support us our more real then most of the fans of so called big Tom,get off your high horse.there is no way pool will win champions league next season. and remember when palace come to town with the best supporters in the land, youe 3 pionts are gone. have a nice day.
