Crystal Palace’s Luka Milivojevic has already become something a fan favourite after just two appearances in red and blue, with his cult status set to sky-rocket further still after he took part in a Twitter Q&A with Palace TV’s Chris Grierson.
Having put in an imperious display in the middle of the park during Palace’s 1-0 win over Middlesbrough last weekend, social media platforms have been awash with praise for our new Serbian recruit, prompting the lads and lasses behind the scenes in SE25 to plan a fan-led interview with him; the results are predictably amusing.
From asking him how much he hates Brighton to whether or not he would have a particular Twitter user’s babies, the above video is conducted in an extremely informal manner, seeing a lighter side to Luka than the one that allowed him to boss the middle of the park against Aitor Karanka’s men last weekend.
He may have only been with the club a matter of weeks but our supporters have quickly taken him to their hearts, having seen a calm, technically gifted midfielder who is more than happy to put a shift in from game to game. It’s been a much-discussed topic since the summer but in Milivojevic, it feels as though we may have finally unearthed a natural successor to Mile Jedinak’s crown as a midfield destroyer.
Leading by example from the first moment he pulled on a Palace shirt, the former Olympiakos man has had an immeasurable impact on our play, adding an unmistakable sense of authority whenever he gets his foot on the ball. He also appears to be an absolutely top bloke to boot, which always helps.
