Pardew, Benteke, Cabaye & Dann Speak Openly Ahead Of “Pivotal” Swansea Trip

The magnitude of Crystal Palace’s trip to Swansea this weekend hasn’t been lost on those inside the squad, with quotes attached below from Pardew, Benteke, Cabaye and Scott Dann over the importance of the game in question.

This piece features very bold comments from all of the above names ahead of what is a massive game in our season.

Usually, managers and players alike will do all they can to underplay the importance of any individual fixture within an entire league campaign but following a run of five consecutive Premier League defeats, it seems as though Pardew and his players have decided to take the opposite route, happily talking of a need for a dramatic improvement at The Liberty Stadium.

The statistics regarding Palace’s 2016 form have been spoken about relentlessly throughout the sporting press over the last week or so, giving the men directly responsible for those results little option but to face up to the reality of the situation ahead of the trip to face the rock-bottom Swans in a few days time.

For what it’s worth, I feel as though the majority of our supporters have been remarkably patient with Pardew for the most part, allowing all manner of awful sequences to slip past without kicking up too much of a fuss but with three winnable games now on the immediate horizon, it seems perfectly reasonable of us to demand a drastic change in form.

The main source of our supporters’ frustration stems from the strength that exists within the current crop of players at our disposal, a group that really should be doing better in the circumstances. We’ve heard from three of the biggest names within the group via the feature above, now it’s time for them to perform when the pressure is at its most intense.

Roll on Saturday afternoon.
