REVEALED: A Full List Of The Premier League Stars Going Free This Summer

2 Posted by - May 11, 2016 - News

The summer is a time of change in the life of thousands of professional footballers across the globe and this year is shaping up to be no different, with a wealth of talent set to become available for free by June.

This piece gives you the names of 47 Premier League stars who will be out of contract by the summer. How many would you take at Palace?

Whilst we as fans are understandably keen to see Alan Pardew and the board strengthen the squad significantly through the normal transfer routes between now and August, the pool of players who will be available for nothing should never be discounted entirely, given the quality that frequently lurks just below the surface.

It would be easy to assume that every player on the list is either past it or lacking the quality to slot into our squad, but a show of such ignorance could easily lead to us missing out on an absolute bargain or two in the blink of an eye.

You need only look at attributes of some of the players we’ll be letting go over the next month to note that they could easily do a job for one of the three promoted sides next term; which should lead you to the logical assumption that the players being released across the Premier League may have something to offer us next season too, should we require something specific with very little concern over the risk attached to the associated financial outlay.

I’m sure you’ll be as surprised as I was to see some of the high profile names that make up the 47 players featured in the piece attached above. Just off the top of my head, I can I see at least two or three of them slotting in well to life in SE25.

Have a look for yourself and decide who you’d fancy watching in red and blue next season.

Is this list totally correct? I see it lists Julian Speroni when the Croydon Advertiser reported he had signed a new contract back in March

mikel arteta is the only one of interest there for me, outside resigning damo & Jules (thought both of those were done deals?)

Most of them are so injury prone or too old to be considered good team planning. Wouldnt mind seeing Teixara or Mbabu though, promising young players who can play a lot of positions. Sessegnon and Tetttey could be decent squad players too.

As long as Pards doesnt sign Marveux, Obertan or Harper
