AUDIO: Newcastle Fan Slates Mike Ashley For Ever Letting Pardew Leave

Newcastle fans have always been vocal in their criticism of Alan Pardew’s management, but one Geordie took to BBC Radio 606 yesterday to slate Mike Ashley for ever letting their former boss leave.

This Newcastle fan is adamant that Mike Ashley should never have allowed Alan Pardew to leave St James’ Park for Palace. Controversial.

Whilst Palace are currently on a run of 14 Premier League games without a victory, Newcastle’s own problems are even more dire, thanks to a last-gasp 3-2 defeat away to Norwich City yesterday, a result which left them six points away from safety with just seven games remaining.

Clearly, in the mind of this particular caller, the decision to let Pardew leave for Selhurst Park over the festive period of 2014 was a huge error of judgement from Newcastle’s owner, with the club now facing up to the possibility of dropping into the second tier alongside Aston Villa next season.

Pardew isn’t under ridiculous pressure in SE25, thanks mainly to the fantastic run of form we enjoyed between August and December last year, but our own fans are beginning to raise questions over whether or not he’s the right man for us in the long-term, a bandwagon that is only going to gather more momentum with every winless week that passes.

We’re sure that the vast majority of Newcastle’s supporters will be spitting feathers when listening to the protestations of the caller featured above, but does he have a valid point?

No – whoever the idiot was on 606, he has not got a point.
Palace are currently being “Pardewed” – so you’re beginning to see it for yourself.
We were sick of being Pardewed and he had to go.
He always starts with some good results after inheriting someone else’s team – but then the arrogance sets in, playing players out of position etc and he loses the players’ respect.
If you have any West Ham mates ask them – he did the same thing there.

I certainly wouldn’t disagree with you, mate.

As with any football club, there will be different opinions, but I know very few NUFC fans that would have wanted to keep AP in charge. The real problem was the fact that we our clueless Managing Director ended up appointing a sacked Championship manager when he had chance to put a good manager in place ahead of a Premier League campaign where – as we’ve seen – anything can happen.

We deserve to get relegated, and it’s 90% certain now as we can’t win a game, and can’t field a proper defence.

But, as many Newcastle fans said at the time of appointment – Pardew isn’t a very good manager. The barren runs are intolerable, and next season will be an interesting on for you folk at Selhurst. Be interesting to see if Bolasie/Zaha will remain at the club. I’d be a tad weary of who AP looks to bring in.

Anyway, best of luck for the remainder of the season – let’s hope you lot can beat Norwich to give us some slight chance of staying in the league! 🙂

Cheers for the in depth comment mate, fingers crossed we beat Norwich for both of our sakes.

    Who cares about Charlton???

Can someone explain to me why, with the full backs West Ham have, did we decide to play Bolasie upfront????

We needed him on the wing pegging Cresswell or Antonio back.

Also, why in Earth was Wilf taken off but Sako kept on. He didn’t want to run with the ball at all. Just received and smacked it.

Martyn, you know the answer to that, it’s the Pardew factor. He is patchy at best as a coach, Palace are the only team in all four leagues not to record a league win this year. He is being found out as he always is.

I’m starting to worry a bit that this is true
