We may still be a few weeks away from the end of the Premier League season, but Crystal Palace are being linked with a summer move for an international defender.
Zouhair Feddal is currently contracted to La Liga side Levante, but has performed well so far this term, prompting speculation to mount over a possible move to the UK ahead of the 2016/17 season.
Standing at an imposing 6’3, the Morroccan certainly has the physical attributes required to be an instant success in the rough and tumble of the Premier League, but his experience in the far less physical Spanish game could prove to be something of a stumbling block to his chances of making a name for himself on these shores.
Having recently turned 27, the big man should hypothetically be coming towards his peak years as a professional, but as we all know, there is almost no way to be entirely sure of a player’s reaction when being thrown into the fast-paced weekly battle that is the English top flight, for that judgement, we will simply have to rely on our scouts’ gut feeling between now and August.
As you would expect with any player Palace are interested in signing, there are thought to be a number of other clubs who are keeping an eye on Zouhair, but it would be nice to see those who wield the financial power at Selhurst Park forcing their way to the front of the queue in this particular instance, should our interest be genuine.
