VIDEO: Palace Strikers Score A Shedload Of Goals In Training Before Liverpool

Goals have been something we have found it extremely hard to come by over the last few months at Crystal Palace, but the lads certainly aren’t struggling to score in training.

This footage shows Palace’s attacking players scoring a shedload of goals in a single session at Beckenham earlier in the week. More of this on Sunday please, lads.

As the video above proves, the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor, Dwight Gayle and Fraizer Campbell were all finding the back of the net with ease when the cameras were focused on them during a recent training session at the club’s training base.

Whilst Connor Wickham appears to have discovered his scoring touch over the last week or so, the rest of our strikers have mustered just one Premier League goal between them all season long, courtesy of Adebayor’s header at home to Watford. With that in mind, the video attached above certainly makes for comforting viewing.

There is little doubt that Emmanuel looks the most composed man of all baring down on goal, but no one should underestimate the goalscoring potential that Dwight Gayle still possesses, should he ever be given another prolonged run of games by boss Alan Pardew.

We are almost certain to see Wickham, who has now scored four goals in his last 130 minutes of football, lead the line for the team when we face Livepool at Selhurst Park this coming Sunday; with Adebayor and Gayle likely to take up residence on the bench. Ideally, we’ll see another brace from Connor in a comfortable win against Jurgen Klopp’s men, but should we need to call on reinforcements, it’s certainly good to know that they are finding the goal with such regularity in training.
