Just in case you missed the shamefully short highlights package shown of our game on Match Of The Day last night, a longer version has been made available online.
Our performance at Selhurst Park was a great improvement on our general level in recent weeks, with each and every player grafting towards a well deserved 1-0 win.
After losing both Yohan Cabaye and Joe Ledley to injury at half-time, it would have been easy for the team to crumble under the pressure being placed on them in the second period by the Potters, but thanks to a general level of graft throughout the side, we held out until the final whistle sounded.
There were inevitable grumbles over the refereeing display of Mark Clattenburg after he decided not to punish Stephen Ireland for a shocking tackle of Cabaye, but in general, our fans left the ground in a far more buoyant mood than they’ve been able to throughout 2016.
With the draw for the fifth round set to take place this evening, we can all still dream of winning the competition for the first time.
