Steve Parish appeared on TalkSPORT recently to discuss the signing of Emmanuel Adebayor, his hopes for the rest of the season and the club’s plans for the final days of the transfer window.
Despite plenty of media personalities suggesting that the signing of Adebayor is a move that is destined to fail, Parish’s comments are extremely positive, speaking openly about the personal dealings he’s had with the striker in the last few weeks. On the face of things, the Togo man appears to be nothing like as disruptive as many have led us to believe.
Whilst Adebayor will hopefully provide the answer to Palace’s recent goal drought, Parish was predictably pressed for his thoughts on Palace’s plans for the next few days in relation to the transfer window, allowing us as supporters to dream of one or two late arrivals before the clock ticks past the deadline.
There is also an in-depth discussion about the club’s recent struggles for form, as well as a discussion over Parish’s hopes for us in this season’s FA Cup, which both he and Alan Pardew are evidently desperate to win.
As always, Parish is an engaging interviewee throughout. Give it a listen when you get a chance.
