Palace Finally Sign A Striker: ADEBAYOR IS OFFICIAL

Emmanuel Adebayor has today signed an official contract with Crystal Palace FC, becoming the club’s first signing of the January transfer window.

The official site broke the news at around 5:30 pm this evening, excitedly informing fans that the Togo international had put pen to paper on a deal, before revealing what squad number he will wear.

In a career within which he has represented Monaco, Arsenal, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur, Adebayor was bagged 176 goals, which for a club in desperate need of an attacking spark, is extremely welcome news.

Indeed, Emmanuel is now just nine goals short of becoming the highest scoring African player to ever grace the Premier League, which is more than enough insentive for him to bang in a few during the coming months.

Exact details of his contract are scarce at this moment in time, but many within the industry are suggesting that we will be paying him £77,000 a week between now and May, which will work out at around £1.5 million in total; a mere drop in the ocean if he scores the goals we’re all hoping he will.

The club will be uploading a full interview with the man himself soon, which we will have on the site in due time, but for now, sit back and smile at the prospect of Adebayor doing his famous “salute” celebration in front of the Holmesdale.

Please, please please, prove me, Sharpy and all Palace fans wrong and shut the Spurs fans up who are already bragging that they have offloaded you onto us. The sooner we see the trademark salute the better!

It’s all well & good signing a striker but with the only decent supply line injured who the hell is gonna set him up? Joe ledley 😂😂😂😢. Without bolasie we r crap pure & simple we needed to replace him not get a money grabbing knob up front. Like sharpey hope he proves me wrong.

Ps what a joke of a transfer window from palace adeboo boo so much for pushing on. We needed a Rhodes or Austin a creative winger like Townsend or even Redmond & most importantly a creative midfielder as puncheon ain’t cutting it. End of rant

I agree somewhat, he does need service but we have got a great supplying midfielder in side in cabaye. Unfortunately he’s being played too deep because his so good at reading the game and interceptions and if he was playing just behind the strikers, which is where he should be playing we would be very vulnerable at the back. We need another creative midfielder and let’s hope Adebayor will prove us all wrong and have a good attitude and be a team player.
