Both Crystal Palace and Leicester City are believed to be interested in Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar, according to The Guardian.
This video is proof that Fiorentina frontman Khouma Babacar has more than enough potential to be a Premier League star with Crystal Palace. Happy to score all sorts of goals, the first one in this compilation is simply spectacular.
At just 22, the Senegalese frontman has been attracting a lot of attention from across Europe in recent months, after following up a decent campaign with the Italians in 2014/15, before going on to net six goals in just 13 appearances so far this term.
Standing at 6’3, Babacar makes for an imposing figure at the head of a side and is now reaching a level of maturity which has seen the clamour to bring him into the Premier League intensify dramatically of late. Having been with Fiorentina from the age of 15, Babacar’s style has evolved to suit Serie A, but, given the physical attributes he possesses, there are plenty of scouts across the UK who believe he has what it takes to be a success on these shores.
Scoring on two seperate occasions in the Europa League against Portugese side Belenenses this season, he has also managed four league goals in just eight outings, scoring once against Genoa, Carpi, Roma and Frosinone in the lead-up to Christmas.
As the video above shows, Babacar looks to be more than capable of coping with the physical demands placed upon strikers in the Premier League, whilst also demonstrating a decent eye for goal. Happy to score in a variety of different ways, he shows himself to be an adept operator inside and outside the penalty area, with a penchant for hitting a free-kick once in a while.
The first goal shown in the video is enough to make anyone sit up and take notice, highlighting him as he receives the ball some 35 yards out from goal before shrugging off a defender, turning and unleashing a blistering strike into the top left-hand corner of the goal.
Although the other clips may not be quite an electrifying, the 22-year-old certainly appears to have more than enough potential to make an impact in England. We’ll keep an eye on it.
