Whilst no official plans regarding the redevelopment of Selhurst Park have been released thus far, the video attached below offers a great idea of how the Main Stand’s redevelopment will work.
With Steve Parish and co. believed to have engaged the services of the company tasked with constructing the new stand at Anfield, the methodology behind it should be relatively similar, with the car park that sits behind the current structure likely to be used as the site for the new build’s assembly.
Of course, we are still waiting for concrete details over the capacity, style and facilities that will be incorporated into the renovation, but for now, it’s certainly good to get a feel for the potential path we may be traveling down over the next year or so.
You would assume that building work, should we have already secured all of the necessary planning permissions, will begin over the course of next summer, putting the wheels in motion on what is likely to be a period of seismic changes behind the scenes, but as of yet, we are still awaiting an official word on our exact plans.
The fans have been promised an exclusive interview with Steve Parish regarding the latest developments later on this evening, which we will of course be pointing you in the direction of as soon as it is made available, but for now, we have three points to play for in the ever picturesque city of Stoke.
Whether you’re on your way up to The Britania or sitting in your lounge, the video attached above will certainly whet your appetite for what the future Main Stand at Selhurst Park may look like.
