Yesterday saw The Sun suggest that Crystal Palace could smash their record transfer fee in January, with a £15 million bid for Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi, prompting us to ask, just how good is the 22-year-old Belgian?
As you can see from the video attached above, the former Standard Liege striker has got all of the attributes you could see a youngster needing to potentially be a huge success in the Premier League for many years to come. Fast, agile and cool in front of goal, he seems to be exactly what Alan Pardew will want between now and May as be bids to keep Crystal Palace in the lofty position of sixth.
There will undoubtedly be huge competition for his signature with the likes of Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea believed to be extremely close to placing a bid for him themselves, but with a guaranteed offer of regular first-team football in SE25, we may just be able to sway the Belgian international towards entertaining the idea of a switch to Selhurst Park instead.
Any highlights video can make a player look far more impressive than they truly are, I once saw a Kagisho Dikgacoi montage on YouTube and was convinced that we were signing the next Zinedine Zidane; but the goals, movement and flicks shown in the footage attached at the top of this article are almost certain to impress you.
Let’s hope there are some real legs to this rumour.
