Crystal Palace fought their way to an extremely hard earned point at Goodison Park last night, putting them back in sixth place in the Premier League after 15 games.
Alan Pardew’s players dug in superbly without the attacking threat of Wilfried Zaha or Bakary Sako on Merseyside, taking the lead late on through Scott Dann before seeing the consistently impressive Romelu Lukaku level for the Toffees in the final 10 minutes of the game.
Despite Everton occupying a position below Palace in the table, they proved to be a constant threat in the final third on the night, making what was to be our third successive trip to Goodison Park without tasting defeat all the more impressive.
Whilst plenty of fans will feel a tad annoyed at having come away without the victory, it was a night within which we rode our luck to a certain extent, given the fact that Wayne Hennessey’s woodwork was rattled on three separate occasions.
Within the highlights, you will see Dann’s towering header to give us the lead, as well as an absolutely stunning full-stretch save from the aforementioned Hennessey which somehow kept the former Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley off the scoresheet with the scores still locked at 0-0.

We seem to have made quite a habit of gaining good results on Merseyside in recent seasons, long may it continue.
