Sullay Kaikai scored yet another goal for Shrewsbury Town tonight as he and his teammates ran out 4-2 winners away at Sheffield United.
Having fallen behind to a 17th minute goal from Connor Salmon, the Shrews hit back with four straight goals, first through Kaikai, then Ian Black, Scott Vernon and finally James Collins.
The hosts grabbed a late consolation through Dean Hammond, but it proved to be a fantastic evening for the visitors, sparked by Sullay’s stunning opening effort.
Loved by the Shrewsbury fans, Sullay’s hopes of breaking into Alan Pardew’s first-team will only have been boosted by his recent form in front of goal, even though he may not be back in SE25 for a number of months yet.
Going from strength to strength at New Meadow, Kaikai has already expressed a personal desire to stay there until the end of the season; understandably buoyed by the opportunities he’s being afforded in League One.
The above strike is arguably his best in blue and gold to date, taken with an incredibly impressive level of precision and confidence given the scenario.
Have a look for yourself, Sullay’s on fire.
