Prolific young Crystal Palace striker Keshi Anderson suffered a suspected broken leg during yesterday afternoon’s 2-0 defeat for Doncaster, where he is currently on loan.
After being brought into the Eagles’ set-up from non-league football, Keshi earned himself a temporary move to the Keepmoat Stadium earlier this season and has netted three times in nine appearances for Rovers to date, but after yesterday’s setback, there looks to be a strong chance that he’ll be on the sidelines for at least a few months.
Having already been at the club when new boss Darren Ferguson arrived, Anderson drew praise from the former Peterborough boss quickly, provoking him to suggest that the front man’s future lay at the very top of the game, should he be given the necessary time and attention to develop as a finisher.
Still a teenager, there is an extremely strong chance that Keshi will return to full fitness and pick up where he left off in no time, but as always, it will come as a bitter blow to him on a personal level, after finally earning a break into a professional side and earning praise from their fans and management staff alike.
We will be sure to keep you up to date with any further developments in Anderson’s rehabilitation from injury in the coming weeks and months.
