There’s no way to deny it, Crystal Palace Football Club are on the up. After what has been an extremely successful opening to the Premier League season, Steve Parish, Mark Bright and Chris Grierson have looked back on the high points.
This video sees Parish, Bright and Grierson discuss Alan Pardew’s tactical master class , Yohan Cabaye’s immense impact on the club and a shift in attitude towards us from across the Premier League. A great watch.
Discussing the shift in tactics that has been implemented by Alan Pardew so far this season, with far more reliance has been placed upon maintaining possession, the trio pick out the one game in which each have been happiest with the team’s display.
There is a great deal of discussion about Yohan Cabaye; highlighting the influence he has had on the side, both on and off the field. Trumpeted by Alan Pardew as the man capable of helping him alter the tactical outlook of the squad, the admiration all three have for the Frenchman is obvious throughout; indeed Chris goes a little further than the other two in declaring his love for Yohan. Not that we blame him.
The final section of the chat is arguably the most uplifting, as the three men debate the altering perception of Crystal Palace as a force in the top flight, thanks to the manner of our performances both home and away so far this term. Unafraid to challenge anyone in the division when we’re on our game, Pardew has instilled a sense of belief throughout the players and the fan base which is rightly referenced by Parish, Bright and co.
After the terrible events of Friday night in Paris, we could all do with something to lift our spirits a tad, which, albeit only briefly, the video attached above will do for anyone who cares deeply about our football club.
