If you weren’t one of the 2,000 hardy souls who made the trip to Anfield yesterday afternoon to cheer on Alan Pardew and his players, there’s a good chance you regret staying at home.
Luckily, thanks to one thoughtful soul, you can enjoy the moment that Scott Dann nodded us into an 82nd minute lead from a fan’s perspective, thanks to the video attached above.
Whilst many had understandably assumed that a point was all we could hope for once Philippe Coutinho stroked Liverpool back to parity just before the break, it was the endeavour and graft of the visiting Palace side which eventually shone through, thanks to a decisive finish from former Liverpool season ticket holder Scott Dann with the clock ticking down.
Although the remaining eight minutes of normal time and four four additional ones seemed to grind on for an eternity, it was Alan Pardew and co. who eventually emerged with all three points, thanks hugely to the desire and spirit of Scott Dann in both the defensive and attacking thirds.
Who wouldn’t want to see a fan’s eye view of the towering centre-back giving us the lead inside the final ten minutes? Well, probably Liverpool fans, but we’re not too worried about them for now.
I’ve already watched the above clip more times than I care to admit, and now you can do the same whilst sitting at your desk pretending to work. Oh, the joys of the internet.
