Sullay Kaikai has been on fire since joining Shrewsbury Town on loan in September and now, he has been shortlisted for the Player Of The Month award for October.

The award is voted for by fans, meaning that you can directly help the Palace academy man with just a few seconds of your time. Run by the PFA, if you click on the link attached above, you can give your backing to Sullay with just two clicks of a mouse. Having bagged four goals in just eight appearances for the Shrews, he is a more than worthy candidate for the award on merit alone, but there is no harm in using our club’s sizeable fanbase to our advantage with a poll like this.

Up against Charlton Athletic’s Joe Piggott, who is currently on loan at Southend United and Gillingham’s Rory Donnelly, Kaikai has genuine competition for the accolade, but after making such a big impact on League One since making the switch from SE25, the award would be the icing on the cake for him after a fantastic few weeks.

So impressive has his form been whilst on loan, that numerous Palace fans have called for Alan Pardew to bring him back to the club early in an attempt to add some such needed firepower to our own team in the coming weeks, but thankfully, sanity has prevailed, meaning that Sullay will stay at New Meadow until the terms of his loan deal reach their natural conclusion.

Having been eased into the professional game at a natural pace, Kaikai is gaining invaluable experience at present, which will ideally lead to him becoming a first-team regular for many years to come in SE25. Should he continue to progress at the same rate, Alan Pardew will have a potential superstar on his hands but for now, he’s moving through the gears in exactly the right way.

Cast your vote for him above, as a young player making his way in the game, it will mean a great deal to him on a personal level.
